FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What happens if EMAS data doesn't match the tax return?

The tax authority compares headcount and salaries in EMAS with your return and sends a discrepancy letter if they differ. Unpaid leave, terminations and other changes must be recorded in EMAS on time.

Are business travel allowances taxable?

Travel allowances paid within the limits set by the Cabinet of Ministers are not the employee's income. Any amount above the limits is subject to income tax and social insurance.

When are social contributions due?

State social insurance, unemployment insurance and compulsory medical insurance contributions are due monthly, by the 15th of the following month. Late payment incurs interest.
